You can walk to Grand Central or take the B/D/F uptown to 42nd Street, and walk a couple of blocks to Grand Central. Take Metro North (Harlem) line to White Plains, NY. You can take a taxi to Purchase, NY or bus. I do not know the Westchester Bee bus schedules. I got a new job in Jersey City and I know that Jersey City isn't exactly safe, so I'm looking in surrounding areas... know of any? My budget is fairly small, since I'm moving from Canada... it would probably be 250-260 000 USD. And I need 3 bedrooms. (I have 2 daughters). Any help would be appreciated! Q. I'll be looking for possible teaching job in Jersey City next year just to start up. I have no teaching experience but im fond with toddlers and Im willing to give it a try. Are there any teaching establishments who will accept me? If not, what are the requirements of becoming one? Asked by Mae P - Sun Oct 14 00:07:54 2007 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments A. I assume from your question and explanation that you don't have a degree and you are looking at working more or less in a day care center atmosphere, rather than a public or private school setting. I would start with a local college, even a community college for requirements for a degree, and also check with the school board for requirements. Again, if it has nothing to do with the school district and strictly with day care operations, you would be best off talking direcltly with someone affiliated with an existing center and find out what their requirements are.
